Still poignant and still sharp after 50 years of comedy
Funny as always. Such a great voice and delivery. Just naturally funny.
George always told it how it is, and for that, he'll always be my favorite comedian
An unintentional but completely appropriate swan-song for the Godfather of dark comedy.
So legendary- he's making so many good points while still be hysterical. Top teir entertainment.
Uncharacteristically shallow in it's social commentary but still very funny.
More of the same for Carlin’s later years. Lots of hot takes, but he’s the king of hot takes, so it gets bumped up a star. Good, not great
One of Carlin's darkest sets may not be for everyone. I think this man was a genius and he drops some serious truth bombs this final special

This material was developed and prepared over the last year or so, mostly in comedy clubs. This special kind of goes back to when he used to just make noises and be funny for no particular reason. It felt right to him to shoot this special in a club to give it that live immediate intimate feeling. The show is about an hour long. The opening act, who is seen at the beginning (good place for an opening act) is Jay London. One of his favorite club comics going way back to the late 80s when he first started in working in New York.
