Gentleman's Agreement

In 1947, Hollywood made a film dear to its heart on antisemitism: because they’re all Jews. Anyway, decent, but stilted dramatically.

An apt examination of prejudice that is sadly still representative of the outlook of close-minded individuals in today’s society.

Subtle film about anti-Semitism. G. Peck is his stalwart self. Dialogue intensive with masterful b&w cinema photography.

6 out of 10. Was probably a big deal when it came out and has heart but just scratches the surface and also has dated, annoying romance.

A nuanced and complex film with excellent performances all around.

About two guys that make a gentleman's agreement but then one doesn't keep his word

I got out of the movie mood quickly and couldn't get back

Focused more on the love boring love story and less on the interesting antisemitism story.
