One of my favorite Vietnam war movies. First 46 minutes are a ride
Don’t even know why I’m even writing this. One of the greatest war movies ever. this is where we need to have a special five or six stars!
Intense and unpredictable even after multiple viewings
Easily one the best 'Nam movies ever made. A film of 2 halves each as unsettling and raw but brilliantly paced. Classic
First half: comedy gold. Second half: Vietnam hits like a brick. Joker’s irony levels: over 9000. War is hell but stylish.
Not as good as Platoon, but a tad better than Apocalypse Now in terms of Vietnam War movies
Showing a different perspective of war that one might not be familiar with. Less action and more emotion and what the soldiers go through.
bootcamp part is as good as movies can get. the vietnam part was also amazing but the ending felt rushed
Absolute classic, really shows the Vietnam war in a fairly realistic way.
