A romantic comedy about a man, a woman and a football team. Based on Nick Hornby's best selling autobiographical novel, Fever Pitch. English teacher Paul Ashworth believes his long standing obsession with Arsenal serves him well. But then he meets Sarah. Their relationship develops in tandem with Arsenal's roller coaster fortunes in the football league, both leading to a nail biting climax.

Colin Firth is a revelation in this memoir turned rom-com that really captures when fandom for something overtakes the rest of your life.
Sweet romantic comedy around football. I enjoyed watching it. Would watch again
It’s the flashbacks that make this movie work. The chosen family of fandom can be a welcoming shortcut to lifelong relationships. Love that.
I loved the writing, great monologues, but the story made my blood boil. From the woman’s perspective the movie title should be “Settling.”
The original and the best. It's not a film about sport, it's about obsession. Brilliant
Nick Hornby wires well, I'm just don't like the characters.
Worth it for Colin Firth.
A rom-com about football fans, it's ok
