Italian Christmas traditional dinner movie with a sprinkle of romance.
What’s not to like? Family, nostalgia, food, Christmas, romance… it’s got it all.
Not for everyone, but it’s a Christmas movie of another flavor. Think A Christmas Story if it was about Italians in the northeast. Wonderful
Nothing overly spectacular but a simple family holiday watch
Italian xmas chaos as the backdrop for a summer romance plot line. sweet + fun but has enough emotional weight to make it worthwhile. Do it.
Set in the rust belt in the 80s, the period details are spot on. Tender comedy drama. A slow burn, but rewarding if you stick with it.
Simple holiday movie, I think I'm missing things about cultural differences I couldn't read in the film. Also many old dated references.
