Ema is a magnetic and impulsive dancer in a reggaeton troupe. Her toxic marriage to choreographer Gastón is beyond repair, following a decision to give up on their adopted child Polo. She sets out on a mission to get him back, not caring who she’ll need to fight, seduce or destroy to make it happen.

Maybe the most WTF film of the year but it pulses with such energy and madness with stunning visuals that it’s a fun ride to be on.
An unapologetic portrayal of modern youth. Gorgeous cinematography and art direction.
Sharp and cold, with one of the greatest cinematography i've ever seen and amazing dialogues. Unique take on contemporary youth mentality
Amazing camera work, art direction, costume, hair, weak script. Style over substance? Maybe.
A beautifully shot story of loss, love and desperation. I didn't know where the film was going until it arrived there.
Confusing until the end when all is revealed. Very different. Very interesting.
Ema is frenetic, contemporary and staggeringly beautiful. Beautiful art-direction all around.
I watched it about 6 months ago. I remember beautiful dancing but have a hard time remembering the story or the ending, which is a bad sign.
The great cinematographic revelation of that year. An almost perfect portrait of a generation on fire.
It’s really not good… the story line is bad and at the end your regret spending time on this movie!
