It’s a finely detailed story of adultery and also a trenchant critique of the Japanese salaryman culture with a moving ending.
Family drama soaked in introspection about the characters life choices.
Certainly not one of my favorites by Ozu, but typically as an Ozu film, it has its emotionally profound moments and character depth
