Sacrificing a story in favor of pure tension, Dunkirk compliments its ensemble cast with a simple, yet effective war thriller.
An unbelievable feat in historical films, puts you right there in the action while keeping the enemy hidden to heighten the horrors of war.
Worth a watch. Doesn’t really give any of the characters time to shine. The action scenes can get repetitive, but the story is worth telling
Nolan’s foray into war films was exceptionally breathtaking. This is one of the most well written and beautifully shot movies I’ve seen.
Combined with Hans Zimmer’s intense score, it created a truly immersive atmosphere. I felt like I was right there, trapped in the chaos.
The combination of having an episodic narrative, talented performances and spectacular technical achievements, result in a worthwhile movie

Very realistic movie, we’ll never know the pain and sacrifice our older generation went through so we could be free.
Didn't immediately get what was happening when but it looked pretty miserable
