In a ghetto where religion and drug trafficking rub shoulders, Dounia has a lust for power and success. Supported by Maimouna, her best friend, she decides to follow in the footsteps of Rebecca, a respected dealer. But her encounter with Djigui, a young, disturbingly sensual dancer, throws her off course.

Touching story of the resilience of young girls navigating the French projects, the ending is tough to watch.
Two slum-dwelling teen girls see an opportunity to make money working for the local drug kingpin. Well-done but it's been done before.
This movie ate my heart and spit it out. Sounds terrible but this movie is an experience of both beauty and pain. Completely raw.
I had to talk about this movie for 10 minutes for my A level speaking exam. If u want my review I can loan u my tape for a tenner
A solid coming of age film, with an interesting working class subtext.
Great friendship adventure and coming of age movie that deals with life in the French banlieue
Incredibly engaging French movie about two teenage girls that is filmed wonderfully and has a memorable ending.
A beautiful intimate story about two girls in the banlieu
Excellent and very underrated. A poignant and deeply moving story, superb directing + editing and an outstanding performance from Amamra.
A garbage movie about some black chicks slinging dope in the ghetto … nothing new here or even the least bit unbelievable.
