If I is a Perrier Comedy Award-winning comedy one-man show written and performed by Demetri Martin at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It was also aired on British television as a special. The show is an autobiographical examination of Martin's life, as seen through various definitions of the word "if." The title of the special comes from a lengthy palindromic poem that Martin wrote; the words "if I" are at the center of the poem.

User Reviews
Not his funniest (although it has its moments) but thoughtful and interesting.
I've found good stand up to be repetitive but he's undoubtedly a talented comic.
Good special but you really need to be a fan of Demetri’s style to enjoy it.
Very slow-paced, and not necessarily always laugh out loud funny, but incredibly clever, neurotic stand-up. Loved the 140-word palindrome!
Funny guy with a unique view on everyday life
Such a clever way of telling stories that are immensely funny, told by a genius procrastinator.
One of the single greatest shows in the history of mankind. And that’s an understatement.
Demetri takes you on a wonderful, thoughtful rant as his thoughts unfold into a meaningful standup special.
Not for everybody. Kind of intelligent humor, but a bit slow paced. Not HAHA punchlines, more a smile, and "that's interesting/cool"
So funny and creative. Just a complete original.
