A little overrated to me but still very good
Larenz Tate & cast deliver superb performance in this drama filled heist film. Amazing soundtrack & cinematography lift it to classic status

Classic. A well told story. It held my attention and I've rewatched many times.
This is a hell of movie and a somewhat sad story. When there aren't many avenues for you, sometimes you have to try and make your own.
One of the best soul soundtracks of all-time set to a coming-of-age tale gone situationally sour. I consider it as the Hughes Bros best work

A suburbia black folk hard-pill-to-swallow desguised as a Heist movie. Don't get me wrong, It excels at both.
While I can't deny it was entertaining, Hughes brothers' highly stylistic choices blurred its intended social commentary.
