Works better as a reference guide to film noir than a standalone story
Not that funny, but quirky with a few laughs. Somewhere between parody and tribute. A few really great scenes.
Was not a fan of this film. I don’t believe I even made it all the way through
Clever writing & editing. Yes pretty silly at times but overall good & fun “cameos”
A fair few of the jokes fall flat but the sampling of different noir films to add to the humour and story is very well done.
You know when satire is both overwhelming and underwhelming simultaneously rendering it not funny? This is that.
