No historical accuracy, but super entertaining.

Fun, easy watching pirate movie that’s a little bit to long. Not as bad as everyone says it is
They build some cool sets and then blow them up. Matthew Modine is clearly having the time of his life even if no one else is. A fun flop.
I know that this movie literally bankrupted a studio, but it isn't that terrible. Not great mind you, but I promise that you've seen worse.
