Introspective look at a life lived below expectations, but making the best of it. Great, understated acting and great gratuitous nudity!
Owen a writer and croupier. Works in a casino to get inspired. Owen is the whole movie. Great If you like devious, subtle, psychology,
A fun casino thriller with a great leading actor.
Neo-noir that gets praised a lot for a sharp script and acting performances that fell flat for me. Ending was a disappointment.
I liked it, despite having some rather weird holes & confusing danglers. Kept me interested the whole time
I was a croupier but didn't find it compelling.
This was just okay. The story is a little shallow but I love seeing great actors in their early periods! Worth watching at least once
The narration harks back to the film noir genre and Clive Owen gives good pokerface. Good rythm, great intrigue.
Clive Owen is dazzling, the script is boring.
Great performance by Clive Owen.
