Based on the true story of a Russian serial killer who, over many years, claimed victim to over 50 people. His victims were mostly under the age of 17. In what was then a communists state, the police investigations were hampered by bureaucracy, incompetence and those in power. The story is told from the viewpoint of the detective in charge of the case.

So well done and acted. Very frustrating in a good way.
One of the most interesting stories most people may not have heard of
This story is fascinating. No murder in paradise.
Fantastic expose' not just on Chikatilo but strain & courage of detective behind Iron Curtain Rea & Sutherland's relationship is outstanding
Similar to Spotlight and Serpico, it gives the viewer a feeling of having no power, as corruption just takes over. Respect to lead detective
An amazing, underrated, true crime, docu-drama about the men who hunted and caught a prolific serial killer in Russia.
Better than silence of the lambs. Not changing my stance on it:)
the movie is very slow and I think it could have been done more interesting, but still was a nice movie
Based on the true case of serial killer Tschikatilo... It's thrilling and uncomfortable to watch at the same time... Would recommend!
Well paced crime thriller with likable characters
