Despite some uncomfortable scenes, this is still sharply written, incredibly acted, creatively edited, well directed and beautifullypoignant
Spike Lee was bold to do a Greek tale set in modern Chicago with slam poetry dialogue,..and man he somehow pulls it off!
the rhying dialog gets corny but the acting is superb
There's brilliance in Chi-Raq but it's kinda messy and not all of its ideas worked for me. Not one of my favorites from Spike Lee. 5/10
It's just a Big "Meh" i'm sure i won't remember this movie
Good. Not the best spike Lee film though. If your deciding on something to watch: don't watch it
Loved the modern take on classical ideas, made grim topics humorous.
Thoughtful, novel, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Spike Lee captures Chicago and his actors with incredible energy, but the story fails to mimic that same level of consistency.
If Spike Lee’s racism & blatant black-washing weren’t bad enough add the bigoted, narrow minded, untalented, RACIST, rag head muslim Cannon
