Hoffman saves this from meh territory. He's perfect, as always
To be honest, it’s been years since I’ve seen it, but it was okay.
It's a film about how a congressman alters the course of the 80s conflict in Afghanistan
Excellent political drama. Feels topical even after 15 years.
Sorkin’s writing shines; Hoffman carries the weight of the film. Yet it also felt like a run-of-the-mill biopic that came out of the 2000's.
A entertaining movie about an interesting subject in U.S history.

Politician lobbied for missiles against Russians in Afghanistan. Hanks good. Hoffman great as chain wearing, open shirt SOB w/ black hair.
Aaron Sorkin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, '80s politics, Come on! this movie has a classic! Hanks performance is pretty flat however.
Wonderful if you're interested in political affairs and backgrounds, especially on why US politics are a mess. Characters r fantastic filled
