Ancient World films don't come along that frequently nowadays. Therefore it's cool when they have a top cast, & a compelling story. Awesome!
Enjoyable. I like Fassbender and have become an increasing fan of Olga. A good watch. Don’t go out of your way though.
Grim and gritty. Decent story and action scenes. 6/10.
Suitably brutal. It’s not a movie you haven’t seen done before (or better for that matter) but it’s still good fun while it’s on.
Not a ton of substance here and some of the set pieces feel very underwhelming. Good action when it happens.
Michael Fassbender & Olga Kurylenko, what’s more to like? Biased maybe, but I love this low budget blood and sandals take.

Pretty solid action and acting. Somewhere between 300 and Gladiator.
Good: setting, on location gerilla filmmaking. Bad: weak story arc, bad 2000s color grading, and why root for the Roman occupier?
The premise was good, but overall the movie felt generic.
