Transforming the inherent unreality of video nasties into a supernatural element makes them as shocking as the British authorities claimed.
Sleek cinematography, leans more on the metaphorical side. A story of slowly losing it while desperately searching for closure of the past.
I loved the way it ended, a great directional desicion, was absolutelly manacing and scary at least for me. The lead actress is perfect.
“There’s horror in all of us, it’s in you”. Brilliantly subversive and anxiety inducing flick. Great for a first outing for the director.
Such an interesting movie! I could see where it was going as far as character, but the end was different than I'd expect which was nice!
Attempts at visual style don't mask the low budget, but it meanders its way to a cool conclusion and interesting commentary on moral panic.
Good movie with a great lead actress. Wish ending was a little clearer with the blend between reality and fiction. I recommend watching it.
