As far as reboots go this was fairly well done.
Beautiful practical effects, amazing music by Giorgio, and a scary scene involving a dark empty room.
A unique remake which seeks to improve lore, character likeability, and expand the original suggested feminist angle into sexual identity.
Heavy on style but short on substance. Mostly forgettable.
B-movie genre experiment from a living master that doesn't transcend those labels. The opening credits sequence goes insanely hard though.
So good! So sexy. Definitely worth a watch.
Decent plot, solid jump scares, and Ed Begley Jr. dismemberment. What else could you ask for?

Despite good performances, and a couple gripping scenes, the remake of Cat People was simply uninteresting.
