When mild-mannered Martin Harvey finds out that he has inherited a vintage yacht, he decides to take his family on a Caribbean vacation to retrieve the vessel. Upon arriving on a small island and realizing that the ship is in rough shape, Martin and his family end up with more than they bargained for as the roguish Captain Ron signs on to sail the boat to Miami. It doesn't take long before Ron's anything-goes antics get the Harveys into plenty of trouble.

Kurt Russell is a lot of fun in this. Martin Short always delivers. Story is thin but it's a comedy. Watch it for the silliness.

I’d let Kurt Russel use me as a boat any day

Always great to see Russel in this role. He is the only reason this movie works. Slows down halfway through. Mildly recommend.

A gray family movie I will always remember from my childhood

A true all time classic in my opinion, always a fun re-watch

Kurt Russell was good and Martin Short plays the believable neurotic father but over all not that great

Maybe I am a little nostalgic because this was a movie from my childhood but Kurt Russell is great in this. An early 90s classic for me.

A road trip movie taken to the high seas, with gags for all ages and a message that praises family and acceptance.
