Carefree single guy Charlie Waters rooms with two lovely prostitutes, Barbara Miller and Susan Peters, and lives to gamble. Along with his glum betting buddy, Bill Denny, Charlie sets out on a gambling streak in search of the ever-elusive big payday. While Charlie and Bill have some lucky moments, they also have to contend with serious setbacks that threaten to derail their hedonistic betting binge.

A fun gambling/buddy movie. It's a great time just hanging out with the Gould and Segal characters.

Solid film on the nature of addiction, Elliot Gould is great as always.

Lesser Altman boasts awesome chemistry between Gould and the underrated Segal. Worth a watch in my book

An excellently written, directed, and acted rumination on the American Dream, greed, desire, and human nature.

One of Altman's underseen gems. This film is a great dark comedy about gamblers. It also employed pioneering techniques to record audio.

Love love love it! Elliot Gould is one of the all time hotties

When Altman is on, he’s on. Sadly, this one is a dull, mumblecore affair focusing two gamblers without much charisma. Tough to finish.
