Clever writing & a great use of cinematography to set tone elevate the short's on-the-nose core concept (yes Ari, we DO live in a society!)
Having seen Hereditary and Midsommar, this is a really interesting look at how Ari Aster grew into the director he is today.
i...really wasn't expecting this to be what it is. of all ari aster's short films, i think this one is my favorite. god, the feelings i felt
well written and directed short that serves as some not so subtle social commentary while also touching on themes of mental illness
Some brilliant cinematography and writing at play here. You could almost imagine Denis Leary doing something like this in the 90s.
Ari aster makes a fun little movie to preach his philosophy
Aster really knows how to write
I don’t get this….
Not bad
