The Amazon rain forest, 1979. The crew of Fitzcarraldo (1982), a film directed by German director Werner Herzog, soon finds itself with problems related to casting, tribal struggles and accidents, among many other setbacks; but nothing compared to dragging a huge steamboat up a mountain, while Herzog embraces the path of a certain madness to make his vision come true.

Honestly liked it more than Fitzcarraldo. Real-life Herzog is a hilarious and fascinating character.
Herzog+ Kinski together doing anything is an instant watch, let alone all the other crazy that happened filming Fitzcarreldo (I can't spell)
Herzog is one of the greats. This movie backs up my point.
Provides excellent insight into the chaos and madness of filmmaking. Excellent companion piece to Fitzcarraldo
An amazing look at what goes into the creation of a film. The ASMR-like qualities of Herzog’s narration are also a delight.
I'd die happy if my life ends up being a quarter as cool as Werner Herzog's.
Having the need to create art is indeed a burden whether you're a filmmaker, writer, etc. Fewer admit this. Herzog is brave enough to do so.
Stranger than fiction account of one of Herzog’s most challenging endeavors. A must see for anyone who has seen Herzogs’s Fitzcarraldo.
