New York gangster Ben 'Bugsy' Siegel takes a brief business trip to Los Angeles. A sharp-dressing womanizer with a foul temper, Siegel doesn't hesitate to kill or maim anyone crossing him. In L.A. the life, the movies, and most of all strong-willed Virginia Hill detain him while his family wait back home. Then a trip to a run-down gambling joint at a spot in the desert known as Las Vegas gives him his big idea.

Great acting and character development. Not my favorite "mob movie", but absolutely underrated.
Doesn't hold together as a portrait of a gangster
Well directed biopic of Bugsy Siegel and his endeavours in Las Vegas. Beatty and Benning pull it off diligently.
A solid if not remarkable biopic of the notorious gangster.
Warren Beatty is great as Bugsy Siegel. He manages to portray a charismatic, but psychopathic playboy/gangster.
Charming period film about a gangster whose reach extends his grasp. The direction is assured and the locations and cast are elegant.
An incredible cast...a shithouse script.
This is a true story about a mobster of that time. Who is visionary In creating Las Vegas. It also shows the relationship with Virginia.
Now this is my kind of mobster film, they don’t get super graphic, they allude to the violence (show some of course), overall very clever.
Interesting gangster story, about someone just trying to prove everyone wrong and achieve his dream. The performances in the movie were gr8
