Such a softness to this film, it’s like a dis functional family road trip, alot of themes being alone & needing connection.Very heartwarming
Kore-eda always portrays these communities around people who become a family (not being blood-related). It's so nice to see that!
Directing and acting was very good, the plot was not amazing. It has similar vibes to shoplifters, story of an unconventional family.
A wasted opportunity. The first few minutes are the perfect setup for a much more interesting movie, instead it rambles. Avoid.
There were some great cinematic shots, the plot felt rushed and the intent felt underdeveloped. I could feel differently with a rewatch.
