Warm, funny, and true to its characters. Holly Hunter glows. One of the best comedies ever made.
Excellent film about journalistic integrity with elements of romantic dramedy, great performances from the leads with some great laugh lines
Not my usual fare (romance, self absorbed journos) but surprisingly good. The characters & their connections so well written & performed.
Really fun storyline and Holly Hunter is absolutely delightful
Great performances by Hurt, Hunter & Brooks and a witty script make this cable news dramedy a memorable and endearing film.
Doesn't get much better. Hunter is brilliant, Hurt is perfect and Brooks should have won an Oscar for his debut news anchor scene alone.
That trio of actors is the real Holy Trinity.
Fairly fun watch, but maybe too flimsy to hold up the gargantuan runtime
one of my favorite criterion blind-buys. sounded good but i did not expect to like it as much as i did.
Do not mistake this for just another 80s rom-com. It's much more. Kinda a snapshot of the beginning of the end 4 mainstream news. Great cast
