During the 1930s in England, a group of young socialites dominate the national gossip with extravagant and outlandish antics. Among the group is the aspiring novelist Adam Fenwick-Symes, who is attempting to raise enough money to marry fellow member Nina Blount. However, after customs officials confiscate his first manuscript, Fenwick-Symes must recover from the financial setback and figure out new ways to earn money for a wedding.

While it looks lighthearted, this adaptation of Waugh is full of dark content. Worth the watch - great cast.
Bizarre… it’s interesting & dull at the same time. The costumes & sets are glamorous & stunning though.
Extremely enjoyable piece of cinema. Exquisite dialogue and great pace, not terribly deep but very rewatchable.
Sort of difficult to watch. Good plot and acting. Could use more scenes of Miles Maitland.
Unlikable characters written compellingly.
Bearing in mind the pedigree I was a bit disappointed by this. Over long and descends into bathos.
Tbh, watched it just for Miles Maitland (Michael Sheen). I enjoyed it somewhat, and side characters are far more interesting than main plot.
It’s been a while, but It was good
Amazing cast
This is worth watching because… Miles!
