In 1818, high-spirited young Fanny Brawne finds herself increasingly intrigued by the handsome but aloof poet John Keats, who lives next door to her family friends the Dilkes. After reading a book of his poetry, she finds herself even more drawn to the taciturn Keats. Although he agrees to teach her about poetry, Keats cannot act on his reciprocated feelings for Fanny, since as a struggling poet he has no money to support a wife.

So poetic, deep, moving. I had no knowledge of his life and this was so bittersweet.
Interesting biopic. It’s sad Keats, like so many greats, died thinking he was a failure.
I don't know how to describe how I felt after it ended. A gently told story, with brilliant acting. Pure romance.
Brilliant. So gut wrenching but definitely the Life story I never knew. Tragically beautiful but captured amazingly.
If you haven't already you will fall in love with poetry, and if you are a romantic this movie just melts your heart
Obstacles erected by family & friends of this couple went beyond tedious, which made the movie feel longer than it was. Still alright.
A wonderful piece of cinematography. The framing and scenes are created with such delicacy. If you can't deal with slow movies avoid.
AMAZING CINEMATOGRAPHY. GREAT CAST. FANTASTIC SCORE. ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I'VE EVER WATCHED!!!
Typically excellent Campion fare suffers a bit from Cornish’s leaden performance and a slower than usual pace. Achingly sad & transcendent.
Decent drama movie, good performance and worth a watch
