Suffused w/ 80s NYC grime, metaphors for homosexual urges and drug addiction, gnarly practical effects and a hilarious little parasite guy!

My friend and I died laughing during the parasite’s first scene.

A bizarre film with a great puppet and a bonkers metaphor for cocaine addiction; surprisingly entertaining for such an out-there concept.

The beginning is one of the best introductions to a movie i’ve ever seen. Great at being visually upsetting, great fx work

I would love to see a remake of this cult classic.

Bonkers, but managed to stay til the end. Won't be revisiting.
