Linklater is really good at telling human stories related to time (like the Before series). It's highly relatable and makes it enjoyable.
Was it worth 12 years of filming? That is the question with this film. From the very unique mind of Richard Linklater. It’s kind of emo tho.
No other movie like it. Growing up around the same time as the protagonist really hit me in the nostalgia, couldn't take my eyes off it
So accurate to how I grew up it made me nauseous
A slow film that shows progression and life. The 13 year filming is such an interesting note, and it's a beautiful experience.
Plot is a meh but very cool that it took 12 years to film
A very different concept of a movie. Worth watching even for that
this film felt personal and something to remember ♡
A cinematic achievement - Linklater films his cast over the course of 12 years, adjusting the story accordingly. Ethan Hawke shines
I felt like I lived with these characters. It's a journey. Very well directed, this is such an original idea. The years of work paid off!
