One of my favorites! A mob boss hires someone to educate his girlfriend with unintended personal and political consequences.
A fun, classic Hollywood rom-com with a Capra-esque political conscience. Judy Holliday easily outshines everything else.
This movie is ~75 y.o. & tackles both fascism & the evil role of money in politics. Here we are today still dealing w/ the same old stories.
Pygmalion story with Holden trying to makeover dumb blonde Holliday for her mob bf. Better than the remake. Holliday is an absolute gem.
Judy Holliday and Broderick Crawford are fantastic. Classic funny gin rummy scene.
A charming movie, gives fascinating context for both early feminism and McCarthy-era Hollywood blacklisting
This movie solely works because of Judy Holliday's performance
Wonderful! Reminds me a lot of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington except from the perspective of an every Jill instead of an every Joe.
Girl power!! Holliday learns "class" from Holden, and she outmatches her husband, Crawford. She is a bombshell!!
Judy Holliday is very good in this movie about a gangster’s dumb blonde who’s maybe not so dumb.
