Fraser was the right actor to play the oblivious and goofy character very fun and goofy without being straight up stupid. Unique story.

One of my favorite Brendan Fraser movies. It's a feel good funny story from start to end and surprisingly few plot holes.

Country girl Rebecca has spent most of her life on a farm in South Dakota, and, when she goes away to college in Los Angeles, Rebecca immediately feels out of place in the daunting urban setting.
