High school teacher tries to tame delinquent students, but he has his own demons. R&R music first heard in movie. Cast is great.
Watched it with my mother when I was a kid. An introduction to Sidney Poitier.
New teacher at an inner city school resolves to stay rather than give up on the kids like everyone else has. Often preachy, but it works.
Slightly dated but excellent overall film on teacher facing challenges in inner city school. Ford has never been my jam, but Poitier is!!!
Another one of those ‘teacher changes the hearts of the tough kids’ movies. This was one of the first, though, and it’s great!
Delinquent high school kids. Dated now. Probably shocking in it's day. Future Hollywood director has a part. Do you know which one?
Classic.
