I’d love to see a good remake of this. But as it is, it fits snuggly within the realm of classic, gothic horror.

Probably i get scared easily but during the view i was literally dying for the suspense and the terrible fear of some kind of surprises

Not quite up to par with what Bava would later do with the giallo genre, but still a very solid piece of atmospheric horror.
Excellent 60's witch film. A good story with an eerie tone and well paced. A dark and creepy atmosphere, classic horror at its finest.
Bava’s black-and-white gothic masterpiece features rich cinematography and a classic performance from Barbara Steele. In short, this rocks!
