Oh my god, this movie is a god-send, a masterpiece from the director of “Wolf Children” & “Mirai”. I will always cherish this forever.

While the plot is a bit too jumpy, the visuals and soundtrack are GORGEOUS
It’s a bit of a slow starter with all off the various plot points to cram in but it finished with an absolute wallop.
The story evokes Ready Player One crossed with Beauty and the Beast with superb anthemic pop songs and clean, vivid, and stylistic animation
Perhaps the worst English Dub I have ever had to witness. Rewatching this with subtitles made the songs and the acting 1000x better

I really wanted to like it, but it was one of my biggest disappointments. Only the music and animation are redeemable.
