Stanley is infatuated with Margaret, the statuesque waitress who works with him. He meets George Spiggott AKA the devil and sells his soul for 7 wishes, which Stanley uses to try and make Margaret his own first as an intellectual, then as a rock star, then as a wealthy industrialist. As each fails, he becomes more aware of how empty his life had been and how much more he has to live for.

This movie is very very entertaining and very very funny! Great for any Monty Python fan, or someone who just wants a good laugh. Great duo
Peak Cook and Moore and the single best sketch film ever made bound by a terrific frame story. Moore's score and performances all superb.
Wryly funny and devilishly clever. Moore and Cooke are delightful. Welch is really just eye candy. Makes you think more than most comedies.
A rare anomaly I suppose with the remake of this being just as much fun as the original! So many of the Pete & Dud films were classics!😎👍
Love this movie love the devil. Great comedy
A fun 60s take on the classic Faustian tale of selling your soul. Hilarious!
Absolute "Monty Python" masterpiece. Smart and hillarious.
Unfunny, sleazy, and tiresome. It just drags on from one uninspired scene to the next. Hard skip.
Beyond dated. Very psychedelic.
Not bad. About equal to the remake
