Barefoot Gen pries into the areas our textbooks avoid: the personal effects of the atomic bombs. Several scenes will stick with the viewer.

Devastating, only really held back by some over-acted line delivery and out of place cartoonish moments with the art style.

Be prepare for stricking visuals that will be engrain in your memory forever. It's similar to grave of the fireflies.
