Brad Whitewood Jr. lives in rural Pennsylvania and has few prospects. Against his mother's wishes, he seeks out his estranged father, the head of a gang of thieves in a nearby town. Though his new girlfriend supports his criminal ambitions, Brad Jr. soon learns that his father is a dangerous man. Inspired by the real events that led to the end of the Johnston Gang, who operated in the northeastern United States in the 1970s.

Definitely was somewhat informative about the subject it was covering even if it wasn’t entirely accurate
A bleak thriller. Penn and Walken give performances superbly. Screenwriting is wonderful. Foley directs with reality.
Loved this. Performances are top notch and story is very developed! Go track this down. It’s very worth the time.
Very underrated film. While the screenplay is spotty at times, the great performances and dark atmosphere make it engaging.
Sean Penn and especially Christopher Walken are great and give the somewhat generic plot some much need gravitas.
Terrifying source material, but the filmmakers pulled punches too often. I never felt in any way distraught.
6/10. Not close to being amazing and on the edge of being great. Walken in his prime and Penn on the way to his. Devastating true story.
It’s very strange in a “why did they make it like this” way and of its time too. Still, good performances.
Great score tho
Actually pretty good
