Raw Wong Kar-wai before he became more refined with his later works.
From the very first moment Wong Kar-wai's aesthetic sense is something to be extremely jealous of. Take my breath awaaaaaaaay.
Why the incest tho? Also why don’t I hate it?
A pretty average debut for someone as remarkable as Wong, but good nonetheless.
Even this early on WKW’s directorial style is a strong presence, making his debut a thoroughly engaging and mesmerizing crime thriller.
Meh compared to Wongs other work due to the Story. Great shots and Visually catching, but his later work is much better

Bit melodramic with an okay story. But it has some great moments, great dialogue and cool scenes. It’s not WKW’s best but it’s still great
While Melodramatic at times, WKW delivers a fun and visually awesome crime story!
