One of the most unsettling movies I’ve seen
One of the most underrated, twisted and sadistic movies of all time. Cinematography steals the show
A journey into the mind of a psychopath. Not many movies give you this authentic and scary feeling like this one.
Weird, gross, slow, but ultimately pretty effective German horror show
Without Angst, I doubt there would be any Gasper Noe or Michael Haneke. Even today, its unparalleled in its unflinching, nausea inducing
One of Gaspar Noe's favorite films. Easy to see which aspects of it inspired him as a filmmaker.
The shaky, hand-held camera work so perfectly encapsulates the psyche of its main character. Violent. Uncomfortable. Even slightly awkward.
Makes me feel sick just thinking about it. I mean this in the best way possible.
Not much to it, simple house invasion story. There some absolutely bonkers camera effects in this that put you in the killers headspace
I guess it was creepy in a “this guy is out of his mind!” kind of way but the artsy-fartsy direction was so off-putting I stopped caring.
