Aerial firefighter Pete risks himself and his vintage World War II airplane in a constant and death-defying quest to fight forest wildfires, much to the dismay of his girlfriend, Dorinda . His love for Dorinda and the advice of fellow pilot Al convince Pete to give up his perilous career, but he flies one last mission. Pete heroically saves Al's plane from certain destruction, but with supernatural consequences.

While being a bit too sentimental at times, this film is still intense, engaging, beautifully acted and painfully relatable.

He's dead and Audrey Hepburn came as his death angel? Lucky bastard!

An hidden gem, that is NOT a copy of ghost (it’s even better). One of my favorite of Stephen Spielberg.

An underated and excellent film form Spielberg its sad and heartwarming and even has a lot of funny moments to keep you entertained
