All Quiet on the Western Front
Drama • R • 2022 • 2 hr 27 min
Cinematic genius, and profound from German producers.
Amazing cinematography, great ending that reflects on the absurdity and pointless nature of war
Amazing cinematography. Brutal and sad. Shows true horrors of war. Don’t think it deserved best original score tho
Another perspective on a war we have seen many movies about, very mind opening and sparks contimplation
It truly depicts World WarI in all its pointless horror: there are no heroes and no happy ending, just the depiction of a bleak reality.
The sound design is breathtaking and Felix Kammerer reels you in
Powerful imagery stark & cold film capturing the futility of war, loss of youth & corruption of innocence with unsettling lack of emotion
WWI finally has its equivalent of Saving Private Ryan
War — that is what the movie can give you a grasp of. Great movie about Remarques novel.
Some scenes especially were truly amazing and devastating. Shows the true face of war. Amazing movie. Definately reccomend it.
