Manages to be scary without ever showing you the monster. You will have questions at the end of the movie, and that's the point.
Could never do this with Kickstarter's new censorahip rules, but it blows my MIND this only had a budget of USD$70k.
Good horror film, well acted with a few decent scares.
Love Flanagan and u can see the beginnings of his genius, but it's not fully evolved with this one. Acting & plot a great, just a lil flat.
Good low budget, atmospheric, cosmic horror. Effective despite virtually no vfx.
Acting is so-so, but he story is memorable and a bit of a mind-bender.
The low budget makes it feel like a documentary making it scarier to watch Well acted too
Early evidence that Mike Flanagan was going to knock it out of the park someday. Suspenseful and engaging.
I love the plot, every creepy. I also love the writing. Kinda slow, but worth a watch.
Story is fantastic, I just was left in the dark to frequently. I do recommend a watch but it isn't my favorite film.
