It’s a gorgeously looking movie, with an unfortunate weak Screenplay!
The book was wonderful, but this? Just meh. Interesting visuals but too much CGI, plot wasn’t the clearest and the lesson was very forced.
There were clearly some good ideas, themes, and plot points, but it didn’t land them. This could have easily been so much better.
Wrinkle in my forhead as I frown at this movie
Just one big giant over produced mess. There’s so many things they are trying to do and they just don’t nail any of them.
Had a good plot set up, but it didn't use it to the full potential and the visuals left something to be desired. Expected more
such an underwhelming movie. i excepted so much from this because of the book, but they destroyed such a good story.
Personally I didn’t think it was awful but it definitely lacked something: Maybe it was the storyline maybe the characters I’m not sure.
Personally I didn't like it but all my friends say it's good so... yeah
Beautiful visuals alone but underdeveloped plot, poor pacing, cliched and mediocre arcs
Would benefit from less world-building aspects, it lost me in the over exploration of irrelevant things. Acting was good but book was better
A wankle in time more like HAHAHAHAHA. Hated it. The visuals and design are good but everything else is so bland. Especially the characters.
It was a good film, but lacked a good storyline
This felt more like a Disney channel original than a movie that was released in theatres. Disappointing.
Impossible to get into, horribly made, awkwardly written
The kids aren't always the best actors, but they do sell the ending
All in all not a movie I enjoyed. Wouldn't watch again if I was paid to.
Boring and it didn't captivate me enough to follow with the story so and no idea what happened
Overly hated but it’s really bland. No bold choices and takes zero risks, and just super safe and forgettable
This movie definitely had potential. What should’ve been an interesting child-friendly sci-fi turned into a cliche mix of fantasy and sci-fi
