A quirky, dark little romcom that suffers a bit from age, but still has charms that seem fairly modern. Seems to have inspired the genre.
Works so well and yet I’d love to see May’s darker cut with murders and 40+ minutes!
A forgotten gem, arguably the best film of 1971. Fans of "Harold and Maude" (Also arguably the best film of '71) should check this out ASAP
Not funny in the slightest. Slow and joyless. I was not expecting this to be so bad at all.
Astonishingly funny as Matthau channels WC Fields and Oliver Hardy and May is like a female Stan Laurel.
