Jack is a children's author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.

Simon Pegg is good but this film is fairly forgettable.
Looked very cool but ultimately quite boring and slightly offensive in how it portrays mental illness.
Far darker than expected. Feels like a pessimistic, cosmophobic conspiracy-theorist's wet dream.
One note film, doesn’t really go anywhere. The central performance is entertaining, but not much happens in this.
Dark, creepy but light and playful at the same time, one of a kind
Sort of the other side of the frazzled coin Harvey Dent from Gotham may have scripted 2 Hector & the Search 4 Happiness which Pegg was in 2!
Surprisingly scary and fun. Another amazing Simon Pegg movie.
Even though it isn’t Simon Pegg’s best film, it is still a great watch
I love Simon Pegg but sometimes I do not love his movie choices.
Not Simons best but interesting and I don’t remember much
