A group of dancers congregate on the stage of a Broadway theatre to audition for a new musical production directed by Zach. After the initial eliminations, seventeen hopefuls remain, among them Cassie, who once had a tempestuous romantic relationship with Zach. She is desperate enough for work to humble herself and audition for him; whether he's willing to let professionalism overcome his personal feelings about their past remains to be seen.

A very fun watch with some memorable moments

Classic movie musical with a classic soundtrack

Doesn’t hold a candle to the stage production but better than not getting to see it! Great songs and dances.

I actually really enjoyed this and it has some brilliant moments, but I think a lot of the problems lie in the adaptation.

Good musical. Good story, and very good songs. Deals with one of the most important and undiscussed issues of starting actors struggles.

A serviceable adaptation of the musical, but for better or worse, the best one I know of.

Gritty, funny, suspenseful, unromanticized musical. Explores the grueling realities of professional dancing. Flashdance meets Rent.

Classic musical, but I wouldn't call it a classic movie musical. Good film adaptation. If you like the show, you know what you are in for.
