Epic and massive story of family generations. As movie masterpiece its like a Game of Thrones set in fasist time Italy.

Soooooooo long. But very beautiful in parts. Not a masterpiece, because it lacks clarity of direction. The political commentary is muddled.

Great! Often moving. Young De niro and depardieu naked in the same scene

A true epic. There are a good half a dozen scenes in this movie that will stay with you forever.

So many important themes and issues of the 20th century packed in to one brilliantly directed movie. One of my favorites.

Full of horrendous acting and uncomfortable, misguided and disjointed scenes, this over ambitious train wreck is oddly captivating.

Five hours of fake Italian accents, weird dubs, bad acting, and bizarre story. Some beautiful shots and scenes but nothing can save this.
