This was a very good movie. Melanie Griffith’s performance was exceptional.
I wouldn't call it amazing, but it's a good tribute to the book, which is a great read.
At first sight appears crazy and nonsense but themes are deep, controversials
Works better as a novel. The directing/adapted screenplay aren’t good. Melanie had started to lose her charm. Walmart Fried Green Tomatoes.
Not usually a fan of Griffith but she really does shine in this film. She creates a character that’s clearly damaged but irresistible & fun
